This is an illuminated manuscript I did for one of my art classes. It uses the art neveau technique that was really popular a couple centuries ago. It originally took pieces of poetry and so forth and the artist would draw these little abstract figures, normally based off of nature and/or the female figure. They would then take sheets of gold or sometimes silver and highlight certain points, "illuminating" it.

I choose a song, "Engel" by the german metal band, Rammstein, so copyright to them for the lyrics. I even included their logo in the bottom right hand corner.

den Blick Ògen Himmel fragst du dann
warum man sie nicht sehen kann

sie leben hinterm Horizont
getrennt von uns unendlich weit
sie mussen sich an Sterne krallen (ganz fest)
damit sie nicht vom Himmel fallen
